Erosion protection

Erosion protection

We offer erosion protection

Ferry berths
Erosion protection may be required in older ferry berths if there is a risk that the ferry could erode a hole under or beside the pile sheet wall. The pile sheet wall may not be wide enough, or may no longer run deep enough after dredging the ferry berth.

We place a protective layer of stones along the pile sheet wall so it does not get eroded.

Wind farms
We also provide erosion protection for the concrete foundations for offshore wind turbines. We have done this at Rødsand, for example, where 20 foundations were exposed to unusual eroding ocean currents. We protected the wind turbine foundations by laying stones around them.

Coastal erosion protection
We provide coast protection by placing stones up the slopes to the beach, so that the water does not erode the coast.
